The “A Wrench in the Works” quest in ARC Raiders is easy to underestimate, mostly because Celeste makes it sound like a quick bit of fieldwork. And, to be fair, it is. You're not being dragged across three maps or asked to haul some awkward objective through half a raid. Still, Spaceport has teeth. Bring a light kit, keep your good ARC Raiders Items tucked away, and treat this like a fast evidence run rather than a heroic stand. The quest sits in the Riven Tides line and leans into the idea that someone inside the Exodus machine has been making a mess of things on purpose.

Finding the bus near the western gate

Your first stop is the western gate checkpoint. The object you need is a damaged bus sitting close to the gate area, and the interaction point is inside at the driver's seat. That part takes seconds. Getting there cleanly is the real job. This gate pulls in players because it's a natural crossing point, so don't just sprint in like you own the place. I'd stop short, listen for gunfire, check rooftops and broken cover, then move when the area feels quiet. ARC patrols can wander through too, which makes holding an interaction button feel a lot longer than it should.

Moving toward the Water Towers

Once the bus step updates, head for the Water Towers. You're looking for the northern tower, not just any structure in the cluster. It's worth moving wide if the direct road sounds busy. Spaceport rewards patience, and a thirty-second detour can save your whole run. When you reach the tower, start climbing through the internal platforms. The layout isn't complicated, but it can feel awkward if you rush the jumps or miss a ledge. Take it steady. You don't need to win a race here, just reach the upper section without advertising yourself to everyone nearby.

Transmitting the sabotage evidence

Near the top of the northern tower, look for a small stash tucked close to the objective area. The terminal beside it is what matters. Interact with the prompt to transmit the location, and that's the key moment of the quest. Once the signal goes through, the important progress is saved. That changes how you should think about the mission. You don't have to panic about extraction the way you would with physical loot in your bag. If another squad rolls up right after the upload and deletes you, it stings, sure, but the job itself is done.

Playing it safe and collecting the payout

This is why a cheap loadout makes so much sense for this quest. A basic gun, some modest meds, and enough confidence to run when things turn ugly will do the trick. Save the fancy gear for raids where extraction actually decides everything. If you're struggling with Spaceport traffic or just don't want to waste time, an ARC Raiders Carry Run can make this kind of objective less stressful, though plenty of players can clear it solo with a bit of patience. After you return to Celeste, she'll hand over the quest rewards, usually including a themed outfit recolour and useful mechanical or mod components for future upgrades.
