I’ve been exploring more into network security and Zero Trust lately, and two tools keep coming up a lot: Fortinet Firewalls for perimeter defense and Cisco ISE for identity-driven access control.
Funny thing, I came across a session happening at UniNets on 27th Sept where they’re doing:
A new Fortinet Firewall training batch in the morning
A free Cisco ISE live demo in the evening
Both by the same trainer.
Made me wonder – for those of you who’ve worked with these:
Which do you find more challenging to master – firewall policies/configs or ISE for access control?
How big of a role do you see ISE playing in real Zero Trust deployments?
And if you had to recommend to someone starting out, would you say start with Fortinet firewalls or dive straight into ISE?
Would love to hear your experiences and advice. 🙌less
The difference between IPv4 and IPv6 is that IPv4 uses 32 bit address and IPv6 uses 128 bit address. IPv6 is better than IPv4 address exhaustion. Read this article, for detailed IPv4 and IPv6 comparison.
